Love the quilt and the memories (of the song-I wasn't here to see the blocks)
And I would love to know what batting did that to you! |

i don't blame the batting for the way it turned out. if i had quilted it properly in the first place, then the difference between what did and didn't shrink would have added just the right amount of wrinklage. i got lazy. one day the mood will hit me to fix it. for now, i can at least take it out of the UFO column. or i could just use it the way it is and "get over myself". it isn't like it was ever destined for a museum.   |
I think it's beautiful....and it deserves to be loved to bits.

I'm sorry it puckered on you but it is very pretty!

That is so pretty. I love the colors. Sorry it puffed up, but I kinda like that effect.

this is from our 2007 Blocks of the Month. i'm pleased with each of the blocks ... was more or less content with the top ... i didn't add nearly enough quilting, though. the batting shrank like crazy. the fabrics didn't shrink at all. sooooooo ... it's a puckered, puffy mess in person. the only way to flatten it the way i like them is to cut it apart, requilt, and then put it back together. not my idea of a good time. i guess that makes it a Finished UFO.   |
