I finally finished up my french braid quilt- i used orange thread on the top & a veriegated red in the bobbin. the backing i dyed for the quilt- i love how it all turned out & my 'quilt police' hubby loves how it came out too! so---double YEA!
now to surprise my neice with it! her birthday is coming up--- it is so nice to be getting things finished up as i go along this year:thumbup: |

there are 2 books i highly recommend to anyone interested in dyeing their own fabrics- mine seem to always be out- never put away- they are: the Fabric Dyer's Dictionary by Linda Johansen and Fabric to dye for by Frieda Anderson i've been dyeing my own fabrics for more than 20 years- and purchase my supplies from Dharma Trading company they offer lots of free instructions & help-in their catalog & on line. pretty much every quilt i make has at least a small piece of something i have dyed myself. |
Wow!!! Love it!
