kimscruzer 04-09-2011 06:12 PM

This was my first Quilt show. What a great show it was! I couldn't believe what I saw before my eyes. The pics are awesome , but to see with one's own eyes......priceless! I had no idea of the popularity of the quilting world. There were so many items for sale . I was abit reserved in my purchasing. I didn't know where to begin. I'm a fairly new to this art. I am so fortunate the show was in my home town! :)

kathdavis 04-09-2011 06:16 PM

Amazing!

Quiltforme 04-09-2011 06:37 PM

I just love technology!! I can sit in my bed and watch a beautiful quilt show and not have to worry about crowds or my back hurting!! Thank you so much for sharing this and posting your pictures!

quiltpd 04-09-2011 06:40 PM

Thank you, Kim. The quilts were stunning and your photography terrific !! I felt like I was standing in front of the quilts admiring them !

kimscruzer 04-09-2011 06:48 PM

My little camera does a awesome job!

Qbee 04-09-2011 07:42 PM

Thank you SO MUCH Kimcruzer!! My DD took my camera on Spring Break and I was SO upset that I didn't have any pictures to show my family. It was such an incredible show. My first as well and I was breathless looking at the beauty of all the work!
Now I am just sore tired, puffy and broke....LOL :D

yellowsnow55 04-09-2011 07:48 PM

Thanks for sharing, awesome quilts, real eye candy ❤ it.

kimscruzer 04-09-2011 07:49 PM

LOL! My feet were talking to me. I didn't sit down for very long while there. I just could'nt get enough. I'm on my feet at work 12 + hours a day. My feet have never hurt like that before. I must say I would do it again.

Jan T 04-09-2011 07:55 PM

Lovely, very inspirational too. Thanks.

IrelandDragonQuilting 04-09-2011 08:08 PM

Your photographs made me feel almost as if I was there with you! Thank you!!!

Demshine 04-09-2011 08:35 PM

Wow! I am in amazement of the talents of all those beautiful quilters. I'm sure the judges had a hard time judging and giving rightfull awards. All amazing.

Harmony 04-09-2011 08:52 PM

I like to think that these quilts and my quilts have common origins in the quilting tradition, but the truth is this is like universes away from anything I could do. These people are true artists--so inspiring! Thanks for sharing!

Qbee 04-09-2011 08:55 PM

It's so true. We were all talking about how being there makes you feel sooooo NOT talented.....I was like "oh no... I'm not a 'quilter'....I just make me some blankets here and thar....." LOL! :D

Linda B 04-09-2011 10:16 PM

WOW what amazing quilts. You are so blessed to get to see all those marvelous quilts.

Qwiltylady 04-09-2011 11:56 PM

kimscruzer 04-10-2011 02:01 AM

A member of my quilt guild, Marsha Radke has a quilt in that show, titled Pastor's Attic.

I see in the program her work was entered in The Baltimore Album Category. How exciting! I wish I knew which one was hers. There were no photos allowed in that categoryuilts! Is she close to Cinti to give me lessons ? LOL!

Did you quilt your avatar quilt or the fish quilt?

kimscruzer 04-10-2011 03:54 AM

I did not show. I am a newbie. This was the first show I had ever been too. I was in awe. I walked around with my mouth open what an experience.

Actually she lives in Tennessee. That quilt will also be traveling to the Netherlands. I don't know how many of the others will be going.

My heart is so sad right now, because this has been an annual event for me in Chicago. The convention center was about 40 minutes from my house and I went for 2 days every year. They moved it to Cincinnati because Chicago priced them right out of town!! Next year, my goal is to go to Paduccah!!

DeeBooper 04-10-2011 04:24 AM

thank you...very interesting quilts.

Homespun 04-10-2011 04:28 AM
