This is my quilting barn and as you can see my stuff is scattered but I like that's what matters. This my escape from kids and everybody else too...

I am very envious! to have all that space to yourself is something special. Enjoy!

spinnergs 07-25-2010 04:48 PM

How cool. I have to share my quilting space with the livingroom. That is Studio B. Studio A is the bedroom where I do the piecing. But I REALLY want my own space. What size is that? I'd like to have a space about 20x24 as my longarm takes up atleast 4'x14'.

Jim's Gem 07-25-2010 06:14 PM

How cool is that? You have your own secret hideaway!!!

cwessel47 07-25-2010 06:26 PM

Love your Dave Barry quote. That man has a sense of humor that matches mine. Nice digs for quilting and quiet. Lucky you!

SuziC 07-25-2010 06:26 PM

What a great place to hide away and sew!!!!

CarrieAnne 07-25-2010 06:27 PM

Wow, lucky you!

Hubby has a storage shed we refer to as the 'feed room'. It's where we store the cow feed to keep out the critters.

He was supposed to box in my back porch so I'd have a sewing space. Never happened though and now I'm eyeing the feed room real seriously. It's looking better all the time.

wvdek 07-25-2010 06:42 PM

Wonderful that you have your own space. Enjoy it.

How neat!!

pojo 07-26-2010 01:53 AM

You are lucky to have that space for yourself.

How big is your quilting barn.

You should paint quilt blocks on the outside of it.

I have the dreary basement for my quilting space it has 4 windows. But I like your idea better.

mawmawbeve_60 07-26-2010 03:21 AM

Luv your barn..!

Very neato!!

mom-6 07-26-2010 08:57 AM

That's exactly what I'm hoping to do for my hubby's and my craft rooms in our retirement home...have a small house with one of those on each side with a connecting breezeway to the house. He does leatherwork and photography and wants to get back into model railroading. I do quilting, knitting, crocheting, counted cross-stitch and just got a small weaving loom (up to 12" wide).

Steffi 07-26-2010 09:02 AM

How very cool! :D
And very good equipped with a flat screen, two sewing machines etc.

Oh yes, paint it with quilt blocks!

Janie Q 07-26-2010 09:02 AM

Marcia_PA 07-26-2010 10:07 AM

Lucky you! I have to clean my space every time our son comes home from univ. because it is a small area on the second floor just outside his bedroom. (Not that we don't like to see him...but my quilting space often looks like a hurricane swept through it! I'm not a neat quilter.)

treeseek quilter 07-26-2010 10:11 AM

that is a mighty fine barn. I love barns, I love driving out in the country and find old barns and take pictures of them and one day I am going to make a barn quilt.
