My Quilts on Display

3 Attachment(s)
In mid January I displayed some of my quilts at a local Hobbies and Collectables Expo. Many of my dolls quilts that I have swapped the past 2 years were on display. Had a lot of interest throughout the two days and it was a lot of fun.

Congratulations. I've had the opportunity to display quilts in public areas (non-quilting activities). The public response is encouraging.

owlvamp 02-18-2013 01:39 PM

Beautiful quilts. Congratulations!

wow, great quilts and display

needles3thread 02-18-2013 01:45 PM

Enjoyed seeing your quilts. My favorite is the one on upper left - looks like the blocks are swirling
tan background. I would like to find that pattern. Can you help? If so, please pm me because
I might not be back on this link. Thanks

Love your work Lynnie. Hi from Qld. Are you in Tassie. I noticed in your first picture shapes like Australia & Tassie. What are they made of and what are they used for.

Tartan 02-18-2013 05:13 PM

Pretty display of your work, congratulations!

Yes, I live on the NW Coast of Tassie. I make foundation pieced Tasmania and Australia shapes to include with my swaps or as gifts or some I sell. They can be used for mugrugs. Here is a closeup pic.

I love the diversity in you patterns. Great job!

hudgoddess 02-18-2013 08:51 PM

Nice booth! Hope you get a ton of business from it!

earthwalker 02-18-2013 09:37 PM

They are beautiful Lynnie. Love the Tassie and Aussie mug rug idea....perfect for visitors down-under. Tell you what...if Perth gets any hotter we will be heading down to Tasmania to retire. The only thing stopping us is the distance from family.

MissGrammy 02-19-2013 08:02 AM

Oh my! What beauties! The Storm at Sea blows me away, all those colors. Are there instructions for a multi-colored one. My skills are intermediate, at best. Congratulations on your great display!

Lady Jane 02-19-2013 08:21 AM

Those are all beauties.

KimS 02-19-2013 08:33 AM

What a gorgeous collection you have!!! They're all spectacular!!! :)

oksewglad 02-19-2013 09:07 AM

Again you have made a beautiful display of quilts. I still love the feel of my "dotty" quilt with the wool batting. I too liked the swirling block quilt in the upper left hand corner. Love the little bed as well. Thanks for sharing your beauties with the "masses"! G

catladyquilts 02-19-2013 09:10 AM

Congrats, you have such a variety of styles and colors

stitchingcrazy 02-19-2013 02:21 PM

Fabulous selection of quilts. I love the one at the bottom right on the stand. It has an optical-illusional quality about it. Is it your own design? It looks like an Alphabet appliqué pattern. I like the colours.

Retired Fire Chief 02-20-2013 03:57 AM

Wow! I bet you did get a lot of interest. Stunning

twinkie 02-20-2013 04:15 AM

2manyhobbies 02-20-2013 04:52 AM

Gorgeous, gorgeous. I wish I had that many to display. Maybe if I stopped making recycled sweater mittens and quilt more.....

#1piecemaker 02-20-2013 04:58 AM

Your quilts are very pretty! What fun to show them off like that!

JoyjoyMarie 02-20-2013 07:19 AM

great display

rosiewell 02-20-2013 07:42 AM

wonderful work, you must be very proud.

Gerbie 02-20-2013 07:52 AM

Beautiful display of some fine work you have there. Congrats. One question-I enlarged the photos to get a better look at some of these beauties. In the last pic. what is the pattern on the quilt or wall hanging- may be a vest, I couldn't tell, but it is the piece with a black background and colored patches next to the denim looking quilt on the table. I would love to see a larger view of that piece and find out the name of the pattern on it. Looks very interesting. Thanks Gerbie- Beautiful display. Would you pm me with the information. Thanks

mjhaess 02-20-2013 08:08 AM

Very nice display...I am sure all enjoyed looking at them....

bibi 02-20-2013 08:30 AM
