I learned several things. #1. Never use this product again. #2. Would have been easier if I had just done it with squares. #3 I will do this again.
I am currently working out a challenge I set for myself, to turn a cross stitch pattern into a quilt. I have it stitched, but I will never again use that iron on stuff with the squares marked off. It left a black nasty residue all over my new sewing machine! Poor "Pearl" has black smut all over her face! I have no idea how to remove it! (I was able to remove the black ick with "LA's Awesome Orange" cleaner.) This is the black ick, that the grided pellon left on my new macine! This is the cross stitch pattern I used. This is the result after a little bit of altering the design. It worked. that's cool. :) thanks for letting us know about it leaving marks. I almost bought some for my DH's pixel quilt he asked for.

The idea of using a cross-stitch pattern to make a quilt is so cool! I have a whole new set of ideas now, thank you!

Wow, now thats patience!! Very nice. Great job. As for the black stuff on your machine bed, can you try one of the magic erasers (the kind you clean with)?
Oops, just saw that "Paulswalia" suggested same. I use them all the time.
