"I love the rectangles that break up the space and add some pizazz to your wonderful scrappy."
Me, too! I think I need to do one of these in the never-ending battle against the scrap tubs. |
Wonderful cheery scrappy quilt. I hope you were able to put a dent in your scrap stash.

Ladies....I'm now calling this quilt my "Monster quilt" because of the size it ended up being...it's king sized! 98 x 110 and will have a wonderful drop on my tall queen bed. Yesterday I sent it off to the quilter because it ended up being too large for my Grace Sr2 frame. Proberly won't get it back until after the new year. :(
I've promised myself never to do one that big again as it took hours and hours to iron and trim thousands of threads off the backside. We won't even talk about the seams that didn't somehow get nested (but they are pressed flat). Hoping the lady who quilts it doesn't pull her hair out or kill me. I am my own worse critic for sure!! Now I'm wanting to use my scraps for flying geese. |
It's a beauty

Love what you did with your pieces. I could see me making one, yours is so pretty, but not in near future. I am exhausted cutting and piecing 2.5 inch right now. Made my Yellowstone and a Goodnight Irene with these small pieces were both large quilts, so I’m really played out-lol Tell me if I’m wrong but looks like 3 sets of 4 patches with 2 strips on both long sides. Strips must be 2.5 x 6.5 each for length of 12.5 to match the length of three 4 patches.

You quilt is fantastic! What are you doing for a backing?
|
Toogie...correct on all the sizes! Actually I made the four patches last year and then stored them back not really knowing what to do with them. Kept me busy and out of trouble...LOL.
|
The backing is a Riley Blake print in a bright blue. I edged the border out in a green/white small floral print and then made binding in a mustard yellow. It will be bright! I'll post pictures when it returns back from the quilter.

Love the quilt
