Nice and scrappy. I like it.

Gilly 08-13-2012 03:04 AM

I love it! My mother gave up quilting at 92 and gave me and my sister her box of left over pieces of fabric we went through them and took what we wanted and then had a bag of scraps left to throw away- but I couldn't. i told my sister that we need to make a scrap quilt and am looking for the right pattern-this one would be perfect.

I love scrap quilts, and yours is beautiful!! Reminds me of a spring flower garden.

My favorite quilts are those made using what fabric was at hand--you did a spectacular job. Congratulations.

wanttobe 08-13-2012 11:02 AM

I did 9-patches , It was very time consuming but I like how it turned out

Great name! I could not tell from photo, but did you make 4-patches, 9-patches or 16-patch squares? Whichever, that is a lot of seams to piece. Very nice; reminds me of a 1950s visit to my elderly aunt when I slept under a featherbed and a scrap quilt. Opps - revealing my age here! lol

It looks great!

Would you like to tackle my scrap box? I need to do the same thing! Great idea! Came out great, now how are you going to quilt it??

sept97 08-14-2012 03:24 AM

beautiful, I think scrappies make the best quilts. I bet I have enough scraps to do one. Thanks for sharing

rj.neihart 08-14-2012 03:35 AM

Absolutely lovely! I did the same thing many years ago, with all of the scraps! It was a fun top to put together. I have a very large container filled with scraps once again..so it's almost time to put my brain into gear and create another!

Latrinka 08-14-2012 04:03 AM

Beautiful scrappy quilt!

Rina 08-14-2012 04:18 AM

You did a wonderful job with all those pieces!

WMUTeach 08-14-2012 04:29 AM

I have one made on the same concept that rides with me in my car. It is a picnic quilt, oops messy grandchildren in the back seat quilt, cover the Christmas shopping packages quilt and Oh no, I got stuck in a winter snow storm quilt. Love it. Handy, versatile and I don't feel vitally attached if something wet or nasty should happen to it.

glorcour 08-14-2012 05:05 AM

great quilt - love the name
