my scrappy quilt that I am naming "scatterbrain"

I am naming this scrappy "scatterbrain" because there is no rhyme or reason to the colors. I finally got some ambition to finish the top. It still needs quilting but the top is done. Yahoo!!

I love all the colors together. You did a great job. It is going to look fantastic quilted. What size are your squares?

crafty pat 08-12-2012 08:34 AM

That is so pretty. It reminds me of a quilting show I saw where they put all the pieces in a bag and used what they got when they reached in and got one without seeing what it was going to be. It looked like so much fun.

I really like this. What fun to point to the different fabrics and remember where they were used before and how nice they look now.

The quilt is 7.5 feet by 7 feet. The size of the squares are 2.5.
I have so many left. I wonder if someone has 2.5 square pieces they would like to trade?

I don't care for scrappies, but this one is attractive. What makes it different? Really nice!

Blue Bell 08-12-2012 03:46 PM

I love it - scrappies are my favourite.

All Thumbs 08-12-2012 04:16 PM

Great name! I could not tell from photo, but did you make 4-patches, 9-patches or 16-patch squares? Whichever, that is a lot of seams to piece. Very nice; reminds me of a 1950s visit to my elderly aunt when I slept under a featherbed and a scrap quilt. Opps - revealing my age here! lol

RDM 08-12-2012 04:20 PM

I love it and your fabrics all play nicely together. Amazing how so many different prints and colors work together in scrappy. Yours is great.
