A while back, I posted a question about what size to make a wheelchair quilt. I got tons of help from all of you here, so I wanted to take the time to say "Thank you!!!" This is the quilt that I made, the top is all flannels I had in my stash, and the backing is also something I had in my stash.
The recipient is very pleased with it! Thank you again for all your help!

Heather,

Your quilt is lovely. Love the color choices. What size did you end up with? My DS friend is in a wheelchair and I would love to make him one. Great job.

I make wheelchair lap robes all the time and my finished size is 30" x 36".

I really like that

That turned out great. The flannel is nice because it helps keep things from sliding off the lap. The flannel is also kind to tender skin.

Thanks! I think it ended up being about 40 by 45, which works well for this particular gentleman, he is in a motorized chair, which sits a bit higher off the ground, and is a bit wider than most wheelchairs.

Thanks!
They all started as 9' inch squares. I just sewed them together,(one light and one dark) and cut them apart using the HST method. Then I trimmed them down so they were all the same size squares, and layed them out to make the diamond pattern. It was pretty easy to do!

This is a very nice quilt, the right size and the material will keep someone very warm. To have all that in your stash is incredible. I sometimes don't even look in my stash, I just head for the LQS, but with this economy I now look first at what I have at home but usually don't find enough to finish a whole quilt. Tell me you at least had to buy some thread or something.
