What a great space. That Wal Mart sewing table looks just like mine. Did you have some kind of pattern for the quilting frame. It looks great.

Where did you get the lift to put on you GM s desk. I want one of these. I cant afford an expensive sewing machine cabinet, But I do have a cabinet that a lift could be put on. I like your sewing room. All neat.

cutebuns 01-06-2010 01:25 AM

can i move in!!!!! I sure wish i could get mine to look like that. Can't see my floor right now but i'm heading in there. Need to clear out some of the junk i don't use.

Luv2sew4fun 01-06-2010 02:03 PM

I didn't have any kind of pattern for the frame.... I just kind of made it up as I went along. It's on a 6ft foldable table. It breaks down so I can use the table when company comes.

It sits on a 6 ft. foldable table.... but I am thinking of getting an 8ft.... but I have to find 8ft garden poles. :)

I bought the lift at a local sewing store. They sold Koala Cabinets, but they were way out of my price range. I asked if they sold the lift separately and they did. The lift cost about $150 about 5 years ago….. I’ll give you the phone number of the store if you are interested in it….. They are located in New York.

Your room is really nice and congratulations on making your own machine quilting frame. After spending money on our frame, my husband and I talked about how there wasn't that much to it and we could have made one.

Enjoy!

I like how you used the velcro on the cupboard to cover and the system on the door for your supplies in pouches.

I know what you mean! My brother said that he would build me a nice one when the weather gets warm.....But surprisingly
it works great.

MollieSue 01-06-2010 07:30 PM

Great room!!! I too,am drooling over all your thread!!! :) :)

bourvel 01-07-2010 08:18 AM

Great and very organized sewing room, I envy all your thread racks, your room is very inspiring. I have my mother's old sewing desk also and my sewing machine sits on top, it's giving me a lot of shoulders and neck pains and I was looking for a new setup, your lift might be a solution but I wonder I come your sewing machine is not level with the top of the sewing desk.

Greendragon6889 01-07-2010 09:30 AM

Yes, Where did you get the pattern for the quilting frame ?

fktsewing 01-07-2010 09:50 AM

great organization and lovely quilts---where did you get the decals that you have above the window and on the chest of drawers. I love them.

cjc 01-07-2010 11:07 AM

OMG! A knitting machine..It's been a long time since I've seen one of those. I have a Passap!
