if you do not want to do piano key then cut up square or rectangles and piece together to make your outside border.Put the black as a 2 inch innder border fora stopping point and forsome pop to your quilt.

I'm sure whatever you decide will look nice...it's your style and taste and very pretty

Your shoo fly's look great. You have been a busy girl. :D You go girl. Suprise us! |
You just think it is OK. Silly you, it is wonderful. Keep up the good work.

It is fab-u-lous girl!!! I love the black for border. I always think of the border like a picture frame around your art. The black frame is perfect for this "art". Another border of scrappy would be great too, if you have the fabric.
|
Awesome job! You did good, girl!!
|
Bev that's gorgeous!
Shoofly was the first block I ever did. Made a table center in a hand quilting class and was hooked on quilting. Keep up the good work. Christie |

Sorry just getting back to this, I misread your first post, thought you said black AND white not black OR white. I think the black because you have such a mix of bright colors that the black makes a good nuetral. I love black with brights!!! |
thanks everyone for your input...... i'm adding the black today.. :D

Very nice, Bev. What size are you going to make the borders?
|
Bev - how about an one inch black with then a scrappy outer border, if you have any scrapes from the squares remaining.
sometime a quilt needs no borders unless it needs to be larger, I like it alot, Cindy |

Those caps aren't important to me Bev, but holding that cute ball of fur is where it's at. I have a little girls blankie that I want to add Minkie(extremely soft and slippery) to the back and I was wondering what you would tie it with? Thanks for any help... Cindy

Very pretty quilt, with the sun shining behind it I thought of stained glass. Nice colors, agree with black border, not too wide, and scrappy binding. :D
