Very Pretty!!! You did a great job!! :D :D

Beverly, really lovely quilt really nice colours and for that reason I donīt think that I would choose to go with black and white, think it needs one of the colours you have in the quilt
Thats just my opinion though perhaps you could audition some black and white against it for us it may look really good. Elle |
Oh I love it! :)

Good job! I agree that the colorful edge would be a good choice for the border. And who really cares about your points. If somebody is looking that close, smack 'em.

Bev, it loooks great, maybe you could do just a narrow border in white and use all the leftovers to make a scrappy border, more work but would look nice I think :D
|
 If they are that close they better be sleeping under it.
It is said No man is perfect and neither is a quilter. Everyone makes slight mistakes no matter how good they are. :P sure don't want them looking to close at mine. Oh and it is very pretty. Lay a layer of black under one side to see if it looks to dark. Take a picture so we can see before you cut. Think white would wash away your colors hun. Or if you have lots of scraps make a scrappy border from all of your colors with white thrown in so it don't distract. ((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) Linda |
That truned out beautiful. You did a great job.

Ok I layed some black around a corner?? Yes....... Or No?
OR what color should I use? Pic kinda blurry sorry |
Looks great Bev. You did a terrific job. I like maybe a thin border in black and then come back with pieces of your color scraps, it that's all you have, white may wash it out too much. (I have to confess, though, I am not a fan of much white in my quilts, nor am I a fan of solid colors in my quilts)
|
The black makes it pop. Love it.
|
Well, I will now eat my words. chomp, chomp, ....Black looks really nice, I like it-, then perhaps a coloured piano type border of the colours you have left.

Sorry just getting back to this, I misread your first post, thought you said black AND white not black OR white. I think the black because you have such a mix of bright colors that the black makes a good nuetral. I love black with brights!!! |
I like the black too..but a more narrow strip, then of course a scrappy border. I love the piano key type border which would look great with this one. Its really easy and you can use up lots of little scraps doing it.
(I was told when I started to learn to quilt that if you couldn't see a mistake when galloping by on a horse, then it wasn't important) |
I like the black. Makes the other colors pop out. Go for it.

I think it needs a 2 inch border of another color before you put the black. it would make the border more interesting. No more than a 4 inch black border. That is my opininon!!!!
|
Nice job, I think I'd put a two inch border in black and then the last border, a three or four inchs in the white. I like doing my binding in the same color as the last border. But your the designer so this should be up to you.
Happy Quilting... |
Hi Bev, I think the black really looks nice and then a scrappy border of the fabric you have already used. What ever you decide will be fine though!
