for my sister's birthday

I made a bow tuck beach bag for my aunt last year ( http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t-t188162.html) and when my sister saw it, the first thing she said was, "I want one!!" I had intended to make it for Christmas, but instead I spent December with my dad while he recovered from a coronary bypass. I got lots of English paper pieced ornaments done, but no actual sewing. Her birthday was last week, but it's a time-honored tradition in our family to celebrate as long as you can, so it's not really 'late', as such. :D
Her favorite colors are orange and teal, so I'm hoping she'll like this. I didn't have time to go all out like I did for my aunt's, but she's getting the bow tuck, the water bottle carrier, a book mark for her beach books, and the all-important seashell collecting bag. I do still have fabric left, so I will make more of the little things as I find time. |
