Beautiful quilt! Sometimes those sons can say and do the sweetest things!

sueisallaboutquilts 06-22-2011 06:51 PM

What a heart-warming story!!! Thanks for sharing the joy with us :)

mamahippychicky 06-22-2011 06:53 PM

I'm also sitting here with tears in my eyes. How could you refuse??? (Beautiful quilt by the way)

MaryAnnMc 06-22-2011 06:54 PM

You are a blessed woman! Your sister can have the next quilt.

quiltsRfun 06-22-2011 06:54 PM

What a sweet story. There's too much history in that quilt for it to go to anyone but your son. Still plenty of time to make one for your sister.

Gorgeous quilt, beautiful memories.

LisaGibbs 06-22-2011 06:57 PM

Now that is the most awesome thing I have heard in very long time. I have a quilt I am working on and everytime I see the first applique blocks I ever made, I think of my visit with my dad last month. Quilts and love stories just go hand in hand. Both of yours are beautiful!!!

I had tears just reading your story!

Me, too. A forever memory

annieshane 06-22-2011 08:39 PM

I would be crying as well. Aren't our children so full of surprises! You never know how they feel...then one day you have that special moment you will never forget. The quilt is beautiful, but I am sure your sister would want your son to have this quilt. You are blessed to have this special time and comments with your son.

The quilt is beautiful but the story is so heart-warming, it makes the quilt the most precious one I've seen here so far.

Amythyst02 06-22-2011 10:12 PM

Our sons are just like that...yup they are. It is a beautiful quilt, but the memory of the time you had with your son makes it even more beautiful. That is what he sees in it.
