My son is a sweetie. He's 26 yrs old. Last weekend he spend alot of time with me in my sewing room while I quilted this quilt. We laughed and talked and had a great time. Today while I was putting the binding on he came in and asked if he could have this quilt, I asked why and he said because every time he looks at it he thinks of what a wonderful time we had while I was working on it. Then he added that he is so proud to have such a great Mom and how talented I am. ( Now I'm crying again) This was to be for my sister for Christmas - oh well - sorry sis, you lost out.

Don't forget to put the memories on the tag in the back of the quilt. That is the best gift he will ever get. Great to hear of so much love that a mother and son have.
God Bless!!

I always forget to put in the pattern name. I had this in my UFO's for a long time. I don't remember the name but I know something like it was in a magazine about 3 or 4 years ago. I just looked at the picture and did my own thing.

NoBetz 06-22-2011 06:31 PM

nstitchs 06-22-2011 06:31 PM

gorgeous

GreatStarter 06-22-2011 06:33 PM

For your son to have asked for it and then told you why...he deserves it with a huge bow tied on it. Mom please put a label on it with that info plus your son's full name and your full name...so future generations will know what a great son you had and what a great mom your son had. And your quilt is beautiful. Your sister sure better understand..lol
