My Spiderweb in Backyard Colors
3 Attachment(s)
This will be a Christmas gift for my mom. She loves this palette of colors, but they are outside my comfort zone. I kept myself on track by going into my backyard to look at the colors of nature: trees, grass, leaves, the occasional lily or marigold, etc.
Thanks to those who encouraged me when I posted this in progress. |
Very nice!

She will love it. Wasn't it fun to make. I made one for my son with the background fabric a black with confetti spots. I made it for his 40th birthday. Fun and colorful. Thanks for sharing.

It finished up wonderfully and I especially like the gold binding next to the green outer border. It really pulls this great scrappy quilt all together.

Very nice!!That backing fabric looks perfect to go with the front!! Great job!

I vote for awesome! I was watching as this quilt developed and all the worry you had. There is certainly nothing to worry about now. I love it. The golden yellow is a perfect finish for this beauty.
Worry over the colors and how it looks while in the beginning stages is something many quilters suffer through. Every quilt seems to be torture from the beginning. Usually it is all for naught. Just look how beautiful this scrappy spider web turned out. My resolution for the new year will be to not worry so much about what a project will look like when it is done and just enjoy the doing and trust my judgement from the beginning. peace |
It looks great! Your mom will love it. (Hot Rod likes it too....)

I am a person who loves green, and this quilt is very much to my liking. You did a good job of incorporating the colors in a backyard. If no one like it, I'll take it! LOL
