I didn't make my deadline. I just delivered it today, don't even know where it is going to be hung yet. :? This is something I have wanted to make for the Church for some time. Now it is Finished, thank the Lord for all His help. :D It wasn't hard in one sense but it was hard in some ways too. The binding about killed me, thought my are was going to break off at the shoulder, hurt so much. :-(

How pretty! Your church will be very lucky to have your wall hanging. I am getting really jazzed about trying to make some stained glass wall hangings too. Now I am looking for ideas and thanks to this forum found a wonderful website. I have spent over four hours just guacking at patterns, etc.

Very stunning! I love your fabrics! I am sure everyone will love it! :D

This was my first attemp at a atained glass. I had to make it in a hurry for Christmas Eve Services at church. I made it for the pastor. Not so sure I like it because it looks crooked to me.

Lovely! And you can visit your piece of art all the time!

Chele, It is still in the church but our pastor has left for a new church in Minnesota and it does belong to him so I'm mailing it to him if he still wants it. I still keep in touch with his wife through e-mail. She is wonderful and a quilter too. She has 2 little ones now that keep her busy but soon she'll be back to quilting.
I just got back from my favorite store..Joann Fabrics. I always spend to much but I sure like more fabric. Have a great day. Connie |
Connie, Someone on this quilt site keeps saying that God is the only one who is perfect & our quilts don't have to be (I agree with that). Your stained glass wall hanging is beautiful. Don't think of it as crooked...think of it as having personality!!! :D :D PS....Sure do like your Avatar & PSS....Welcome to this quilting site!! I see you joined in yesterday. This is a great site! Glad you joined in.

I'm glad to be a part. I'd like to have more time here but my lastest creation is a big one and it's not getting done very fast. I was getting close and trimmed some tree tops and didn't leave enough of a 1/4 inch seam there so I tore them all out and am starting over. Can't wait to get it together and get it quilted. It's the 2007 Shop Hop Quilt from Colorado. It's got a moose, bear and two deer, along with columbines (I chose purple ones and It has a house and barn some mountains with snow and some without and the most beautiful sun bursts at both side of the top. Just can't wait too see it all together.
Have a great evening. I'm off to working on it. Connie |

Beautiful mix of colors, textures, design and workmanship. You are a blessing to have posted this for us to enjoy. Thank you!

Celeste,
Thanks, I did like it when it was finished. I'll sure be happy when I have the one I'm working on done. Can't wait to see it all put together. Your dog is a real cutie. My dog doesn't do that but my husband's cats seem to do that all the time. Happy Quilting, Connie |
Thanks Traci,
I loved the colors I found and probably did't do it right but all I had for it was a picture out of a magazine so I had to make up the pattern. I had Kinko's blow it up as big as they could and just had to dive in to get it done. Take care, Connie |
wow, great work of art. Love it!!!
|
Thanks!
|
Beautiful !!!!!
|
Thank You! Maybe someday I'll have to make a new one without the crooked look... ha ha
|
It's crooked? Didn't really notice until you mentioned it. Looks great to me!
|
Thanks, someone else said that. I just thought it looked that way but I'm my biggest critic.
Connie |
I think your "Faith" wallhanging must have made God smile!!! It is really beautiful.
|
Not so sure I like it because it looks crooked to me. |
The Faith Wallhanging isn't mine. I did the one that was hanging on the front of the pulpit at church with the baby jesus in the cradle and the sheep and palm trees. The Faith one is really beautiful though not mine.
