I dont live with my bf, but during summer break when my teens go see their father I spend those days at my bf's house. Of course, I cant quit sewing!! :) He does have a lovely Singer I can use (and do on weekends I am there and dont want to haul my stuff over) but since I will be there 10 days this stint, I have my sewing space all set up. :) And I even have his elk to keep me company as I sew!!
I hope you and Mr Elk have a great time sewing together :D:D:D
Very cozy place to sew.
That's all you need...a big enough space to sit, have a machine, and cuttinig & ironing area.
The moose, er...elk, is extra! |
Funny story about the elk.. when bf and I started dating (two years ago, my twins were 12) we spend Thanksgiving together, and it was the first time my girls had been to his house. On the other side of the wall that Mr Elk hangs on, is a utility room... so, the twins are admiring Mr Elk and asked where the rest of him was... to which bf replies, well, the other side of the wall of course. They couldnt stand it, they had to run and check! :) We still laugh about that.. :)
I wouldn't be able to work with it staring at me!

I would not like sharing my space with the wildlife, but right now I am sharing it with any guest who may come along..
That's nice of him to give up his space so you can still sew
Maybe you can use his antlers as a spool holder.
Well... he has a whole other living room. :) He is blessed with a lovely, large home. :) So, I dont have to take up space or interrupt TV time for him or his girls. Like I said, Love this space more than my own!

Fun. You have company during your creative time.
It looks like a wonderful "temporary" sewing area. Enjoy being there and I hope you get lots done!

Nice, bright and cozy space for sewing and quilting while Mr. Elk inspects as you go.
Looks like Mr. Elk is guarding your sewing machine!!!

i'd have to take that head down it would give me nightmares.
I'm not sure I could sew very well if I felt like I was being watched all the time! At least he doesn't talk constantly!
I honestly dont even notice him anymore. :)
That animal is just begging for some decorating! How about white Christmas lights or you could do a 4th of July theme. In my first lifetime (marriage) my husband got a deer and it had to hang in our living room. I adjusted by decorating the dang thing. My current husband does not hunt and I love him for it!

I love it! Mr. Elk can give you his opinion on your quilting efforts!
Mr Elk startled me. lol. Nice space, I wouldn't mind sharing space with him. Do you ever feel like he's watching you?
So if the elk doesn't mind sharing the space, why not? Besides if something goes wrong with your quilting you can blame the elk.

I will have to keep that in mind about blaming him... he probably was the culprit for my thread getting all loopy on my first line of quilting I did last night on that quilt on the table... had to pick it all out. UGH. :) |
  Mr. Elk is your quilting inspector; so keep everything to a scant 1/4 inch!!!!
I thinkthat is the "Watch Moose" instead of the watch dog! LOL Nice!!
That quilt inspector(Mr. Elk) is HUGE!!! Happy quilting...Naomi
That's some elk! He must be awfully proud of it.
Someone (thing) to talk to. Hope he's a good conversationalist.
A built-in quilt policeman, who will not be "on" your quilt as you work - have a great time! :)
I'll have to show that stuffed Elk to my furry QI and let her know thats what happens to snotty inspectors
