I found this awesome handmade quilt for only 4.00. Appliqued by satin stitch and also has a hanger on back, really cute.

Congrats on your find. It's really cute. Would make a great table topper.

Great rescue!

What a wonderful find, it is so pretty.
that is really cute. it may have a hanger on back, but my bet is that it started out as a baby quilt & got hung up later to admire/preserve. i recognize those calicos from the 90's & tho i don't remeber quilt kits being available back then (in fact, fat quarters were a new quilty novelty) there were lots of very sweet patterns like this in many of the quilt magazines. a great find, congratulations! ..i love rescuing other crafters works of art & love.

Great find! And, to someone who will care for it well! So cute!
Cute! How on earth could someone give it away to the thrift shop.
Perfect for spring...what a nice find.

So glad someone who appreciates quilts rescued it. It makes me sad to ponder how many of mine will end up there once their usefulness is gone. Like you, wish there was a story behind it............a reminder to all of us to label our quilts and maybe the reason for gifting.
Yes it is sad, I to often wonder about all mine. I don't know how many of you remember Stewy from the board, he has kept 6 of my quilt tops and won't return them, several are hand embroidery so there lost forever. He did quilt three for me and there terrible, stained and more. Breaks my heart I'll never get them back and they can't be replaced but do wonder what he did with them. I treasure my quilts and if I receive one as a gift, it's even more special.
cute as a bunny. great find. congrats on treasure finding.....
I am so glad that that quilt found someone that will love it. I know that some of the quilts I made for DG have been given to thrift stores. It was hurtful but now I know they may have found their forever home. That is a beautiful quilt and a lucky find.
Congrats on the great rescue! :)
A treasure for sure..thatwas made with love
Score! It's really adorable.

Thanks ladies.
that is so "stinking cute"! Love how the carrots have some nibbles out of them! What a find.
You are very lucky. Our Thrift stores around the San Fancisco Bay Area have prices that are next to retail and I have found some mor that retail. It is hard to get a bargain.
What a great spring time find! It is beautiful!
Very nice!
Great find! I am happy you gave it a good home.
So sad to think about the work that went into this and someone gave it to a thrift store - I'm so glad that you're going to give it a good home. Those rabbits are wonderful!
How cute! I suspect that some of these thrift store finds were started for kids who grow up way too fast for the sewer! I found 8 yards of lovely cars and trucks fabric--I suspect someone had the idea of making curtains for a little boy who isn't so little anymore! Will be made into Project Linus quilts.

What a delightful quilt!! Great find!
