My version of a crazy patch
2 Attachment(s)
Was given a sack of batik strips, all uneven widths, and made these two charity quilts. Still need a good pressing and to be quilted, but you get the idea. Great way to use up all those odd ball pieces.

love your color choices great job:thumbup:

and another from the batik scrap bag.

both are terrific. i like that in the second one, the light color is in the same position in each block... it adds an extra pattern to the block
They are both very nice!!!

Cool! It looks like an African safari to me! Kudos!
I love all three. Thanks for the ideas!
Really nice quilts
They're all wonderful quilts.
Great use of scraps. I'm beginning to think there is no such thing as a scrap. Each piece is just a "quilt-in-waiting." All three of your creations are wonderful. Thanks for inspiring and sharing!
That's my kind of scrap quilt too - just be creative!
Those quilts are great! Guess I know what you do in this heat!
Love all three!
The look totally intentional.

Great way to use scraps!!
Those are great scrap quilts, my favorite is the triangle one.
Oh how I wish I had your fairy godmother!!!
Batik's on their own are scrumptious, but to be given a bagful?? Brilliant choice of block too. Love them both! I wanna be in that charity..................... |
These are fantastic! You have some wonderful fabrics in there.

Love the asymmetry and dynamic use of the diagonal line in these quilts. Colors are great as well. Nice work!!
Great fabrics! Crazy quilt wouldn't have been my first choice but boy would I have been wrong. It is wonderful. I think you just grew my imagination. I tend to be too conservative sometimes and in some areas.
My comment posted itself before I was done and that was good because when I came back, I saw the quilt made with the triangles. You make great quilts and they are out of scraps. We all have strengths in quilting and a great eye seems to be one of yours. The quilts are wonderful
Clever idea....thanks for posting. Happy quilting :)
Both are great! You made good use of all those scraps.
