Here's some pics of a quilt I made for my oldest daughter, Meagan. She naps quite often in the family room, so was dragging her other quilt back and forth between her bedroom and the family room. So now she has a "dedicated napping quilt". :) She picked out the fabric collection, as well as the border, backing, and binding fabric from the same collection.

I made it from a Moda jelly roll of "Tranquility" fabric and it measures 52" x 76". The pattern is called "Pandora's Box" and is from the "Jelly Roll Quilts" book by Pam & Nicky Lintott. This was my first attempt at free-motion quilting and I REALLY like it. :D Now I wonder why it took me so long to get up the nerve to try it.

Another perfect one! I love it!

This is so cute and you did a good job quilting it. I too am hesitating quilting by machine anything except runners and small things. It costs way too much to send things to a machine quilter and I can't keep up hand quilting even though I love to do it.

Another beautiful quilt Eddie!! You keep showing us some wonderful quilts. Glad you got your sewing machine back and running!

Eddie

A real beauty from you again !!!! Your family members are so fortunate to have such a clever father.

I managed to get both books - they were both on special offer too so I was very lucky.

I have some 100% cotton shirts from DH mainly different blues & tones of navy with some whites too that I intend making a quilt with & have been looking at this pattern in the book. It would be ideal to throw out on the lawn next Summer for our GS to lay on.
