you could always make a top and bottom boarder with the baby's name on top and birth date on bottom then add the final boarder all around.

This is ADORABLE! I am new to quilting...how did you make the tigers?

A half - sized row of the same tigers across the top and bottom and a quarter sized row on each side??, followed by more of the green as a border. That is, so that you would have approx. 6 tigers on bottom and top and perhaps 10 - 12 along the sides. Alternatively, just their heads as little blocks all the way around.

I like the blue and grassy ideas too, maybe make the top and bottom borders wider if you want a more rectangular quilt

As you can see it is almost square and I want it to be longer.
I know I could add another row but am looking for an out of the box idea.
I have seen so many great ideas and so many of you have come to the aide of others.
Please put on your thinking caps.
Thank you so very much for your help.

Not sure if you have already decided but I think I'd make a large tiger face peeking out from the upper left corner (as you look at the quilt, with a tail coming out the upper right, paws on the sides and feed at the bottom like the tiger is holding the quilt. Most of this would be in the border but the ears and tip of tail could stick out from the edges of the quilt. I'd love to see what you decide! :)

What a great idea. I love it but if you look I have posted a pic of what I have done. Just need to put on last boarder.
I will keep that in mind for another quilt.
Thank you,

If you like the width of the quilt you can just ad a wider border at the top and the bottom. That would do the trick.

Here it is. I said I would not get this done till next week but I got up early so I could finish it and then go to my mothers.
Hope you like.
THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR IDEAS.
My quilts usually evolve through prayer and this quilt did but I had LOTS of help from my quilting angels.
Thank you
Pat

Great quilt!
All kids like to see their name on something good! even if your GS is too young, now they grow so quick!
