I see a beautiful quilt with some fantastic quilting! May not look like you intended it to but no one is going to know that.It could be a pattern that you have made up as you got started with the quilting.Looking forward to seeing it as a finished quilt. :thumbup:

My machine only has 5 1/2 inches of work space. Some areas look Ok & others look more like the Lochness monster than a feather hook. This has worn me out, but I'm too far in to stop or take it out. My husband says I'm crazy that it looks fine, but I just don't know. How do you think it looks. I'm going to take a break & not touch it until tomorrow...maybe it will look better to me.

It's great. Don't think of it as 'wrong' feathers, but as free quilting.

You're looking at the details, whereas your parents will see it as a whole. And if the shapes aren't exactly as you wanted them, no one else needs to know. - Unless you point it out to them. Which you won't, OK, no matter how great the temptation :) |
If you keep doing this - it will get better and better. It looks fine to me and they will love it. Persevere! Knowing you did all the quilting will make them appreciate it even more. When you become nearly perfect you can look at that and remember what that experience was like... Love it!
