personally....I like the first layout

My time 07-12-2011 11:25 AM

I like 3 or 4. Number 1 bothers me, since you asked.

quilting librarian 07-12-2011 11:26 AM

I like the magic squares or mock bento box layouts. :) Beautiful fabric!

trolleystation 07-12-2011 12:26 PM

Either 1 or 3 gets my vote.

yonnikka 07-12-2011 12:31 PM

Hey, what Fun!!! Magic Squares is so lively and exciting. I think I prefer the On Point, as it is more orderly. Before you pick the one you will use, ask yourself what will be the future of this item: a child's bed? A wall hanging? A cottage by the lake or mountain lodge? Maybe the nature or preference of the recipient is the best criteria. Good luck. Whatever you do, reserve the right to do it all over again, and use your second choice layout.

I love the fabric and I really like #1

QuiltNama 07-12-2011 12:51 PM

On point!

Marilynsue 07-12-2011 03:26 PM

#3 has my vote!

gingersnaps 07-12-2011 03:30 PM

#3 is wonderful and I would love to make one. beautiful fabric also.

Challys 07-12-2011 03:32 PM

My vote is number 3

sewgarden 07-12-2011 04:07 PM

I like 2 and 3. That's a great piece of fabric. It looks beautiful.

Vickymomof6 07-12-2011 04:16 PM

I really like number 2.

Beffy_Boo 07-12-2011 04:37 PM

They are all amazing but I like "out of the box" best. Your quilt will be fabulous no matter which layout you choose. Don't forget to post a pic of the finished product.

carolaug 07-12-2011 04:40 PM

I like the 2nd and 3rd one

plmaher 07-12-2011 04:57 PM

I like #3

Quiltmaniac2010 07-12-2011 05:01 PM

It is amazing that all of these layouts are from the same blocks!! I love the on-point ones, but #1 is running a close second. Please post a picture of whatever you decide. It will be wonderful!

poultney 07-12-2011 05:16 PM

Beautiful! I liked the third one. But you did a great job coming up with so many possibilities.

BettyJean 07-12-2011 05:21 PM

I really like #3 !!! :)

emmah 07-12-2011 05:39 PM

No.2 looks very three dimensional.

meant2be 07-12-2011 06:04 PM

I like on point rows. Very pretty fabric.

Linda E 07-12-2011 06:23 PM

I love the "out of the box" look. Great quilt!!!

IBQUILTIN 07-12-2011 06:32 PM

I like #2 also.

BevF 07-12-2011 06:51 PM

I also like #3 the best and #1 second best, but, the real question is: What do you like the best? (I had a suggestion for another layout but it would include a seam ripper and I'm not going to do that to you.) Have fun!

Sheree from Chicago 07-12-2011 06:55 PM

My pick is #3

RobertaMarie 07-12-2011 06:59 PM

The on point rows!! Neat.

nightquilter 07-12-2011 07:28 PM

I really like the on point.

galvestonangel 07-12-2011 07:36 PM

1,3,4 are more creative.

KSue 07-12-2011 07:45 PM

My choice would be 2 or 3

JoanneS 07-12-2011 09:12 PM

Could you do 2 on point? I like the extra pizazz of on-point settings. I do like #4, but #2 on-point would be even better.

GwenH 07-12-2011 09:15 PM

They're all very nice, sorry I'm not much help...

I like the third one ;)

There is another possible arrangement. Not sure if the article is from Anita Grossman Solomon ...but I have a book of hers that shows this technique (with only 2 cuts) which she calls the X-centric & Concentric blocks from stripes. If you have a chance to have a look at the book...it is on the first chapter....and there is a lady that completed her quilt using this same technique which you can find here
http://quiltingbiker.blogspot.com/20...ock-quilt.html

... which, I am also working on one using the same material (sucker to that purplish colour LOL!) after I saw hers....

All your arrangements are just beautiful...it creates different illusions on every single one ... :) Hope to see your fully completed quilt once you have decided :)

no. 3

stitchntimesewing 07-13-2011 07:36 AM

Oh! On point rows! Looks like Peacock feathers.

Pat75 07-13-2011 08:02 AM

On point is classy. It look like petals hanging down.Very nice.

Wunder-Mar 07-13-2011 10:54 AM

#2 or #4, but #3 would work well in a room that feels cramped or short - it pulls the eye down, which could make a room look longer or roomier.

Great work!

Jan T 07-13-2011 11:03 AM

The blocks on point are a really original, fresh and interesting approach to the whole thing. Very nice job of putting it all up in dfferent ways. It must have taken lots of time. Really great fabric too.

MargeD 07-13-2011 01:11 PM

I think I like #2 and #3 the best. Nice work.
