The July 2010 issue of American Quilter had an article on a techinque (not a pattern) using striped fabric that has been on my to do list for a year. Finally found a stripe I liked but now the dilemma is how to arrange the blocks, all HST from the same fabric. Very easy to do. Please tell me which layout you like, and if you can think of other ways to arrange the squares. This part is FUN!!. There will be two posting (5 Pics). Might take a few minutes to get all the pictures up.

I like 2 or 3 nice work
What a fun project!! I like #2 and #3. #1 is creative, but my eyes don't "rest" on the quilt.
My favorite is definitely number 2 .... it's calm to the eye.
#3 is the leasr dramatic. I really like #1.
your original fabric is fabulous and fun! |
I like all of them.
I like them all. That is very pretty fabric. Nice colors!
I really like #2. However you decide, that's going to be a fabulous quilt!
I love #1 or #4!! Great work I really love it
I really like number 3 the on point rows. but all of them are very different and all from one piece of fabric Amazing! Love to see it when you finish it.
I really like № 3 and № 1 :D
I like no. 3, but they all look good

Oh I like the on point rows!!
I like number 2.
#2 looks three dimensional! It jumps right off the wall toward you! I love the whole quilt and the fabric. You are a brave woman to even try this

I love it on point - the first one would be my second choice
On Point Row my favorite!
Love the fabric and all the differnet things you can do! Personally I really like the on point! It is just so different!

I also like #2 and its dimensionality (is that a word?). #3 is probably my second favorite, although I don't think it's quite as eye-popping. The other two are a bit chaotic and my eyes don't want to rest anywhere, lessening the impact.

I like 2 and 3.
Although I'm not usually in "artsy"...I'm going with the first layout. It has some oomph, some zing. It undulates and sways. It waves to me. I like it.
#2 then second fav is #1
#1 and #3.
All those different layouts from the same units! Wow!
I love # 3. It sings to me. But if you want more zing, then I'd say #1. Don't really like #2 or #4. What a great idea--one piece of fabric!
I like "On Point Rows" It's easy on the eyes but yet enough "pop" to intrigue. Beautiful fabric! :)
i like #2
Bento box or on-point, although I hate working on the bias.
The first one is too chaotic for me and the second is too organized... ha ha. I've had this kind of thing before where I love the fabric, love the concept and then have trouble figuring out how to put it all together... |
Number 2.
I love all the different layouts!
But #2 is the one I would go with. |
I really like the on point; but any layout you chose will be so pretty with these blocks.
#1 for me. Because it is different and I like to see new stuff.
I like the mock Bento box the best.
I love number 1. Number 3 (the onpoint one) seemed a bit boring to me after the first two, in my opinion anyway. Number 1 looked interesting like you could never get bored of it.
