I agree with everyone else. The busy print just doesn't stand out like a solid would. Love the pattern.

Patterned sashing seems to be fashionable lately. You go with what you want. You will be living with the quilt.

It fights with the pink floral. I would change it. Love the other fabrics!
Your sashing is competeing with your blocks. A darker color would give you the contrast you are looking for...this of course if only my HHO :-)
The block is beautiful but you need to make those flowers pop!!!! just get some of your stash and lay different peices stand back I found this works pretty good
thank you all for the advise it really helped.. i did put a solid sashing and it looks great.will post a pic soon.
again Thank you all loretta |
I"d use a med to soft pink. Will be stunning.
It's not called ripping it's called unsewing.
I love your blocks! I would agree with most and suggest a solid, medium pink color. But just to be sure to get the look you like try auditioning both pink and green. Good luck!!
I would go with the tone on tone first. This will be ver pretty.
Yes, go darker either green or pink would work. Nice blocks!!
Yes, I agree with all of the above. But I don't call it ripping seams, I call it "un-sewing" lol Auntie B
me too .A pastel green perhaps? That would be my choice .but do what you are comfortable with.
Maybe the brighter pink roses in the little squares, I think they will make it pop
Have a Blessed day Ellen |
I think it would look better with a plain sashing.
I personnally think you need a brighter sashing than you have. It does not compliment your block. Other than the color of the sashing you are doing a great job. Keep us posted on your decision. Thanks for sharing.

Take a color out of the print. (Solid) Darker. You only have two values and your lacking dark. You have light and medium. Now your need dark
