I agree with everyone else. The busy print just doesn't stand out like a solid would. Love the pattern.

Patterned sashing seems to be fashionable lately. You go with what you want. You will be living with the quilt.

My thoughts exactly. :)

I agree here. Something darker and not so busy will make your block "pop"

i think its a personal choice....i happen to love shabby chic style and this would suit it perfectly. i guess its just whatever look you are going for

jellybelly5000 06-27-2011 08:20 AM

I vote for a solid too.

grammysharon 06-27-2011 08:58 AM

My opinon too !

Anna.425 06-27-2011 11:22 AM

It fights with the pink floral. I would change it. Love the other fabrics!

Tweety2911 06-27-2011 03:57 PM

Your sashing is competeing with your blocks. A darker color would give you the contrast you are looking for...this of course if only my HHO :-)

Katts 14 06-27-2011 04:03 PM

The block is beautiful but you need to make those flowers pop!!!! just get some of your stash and lay different peices stand back I found this works pretty good

lb70542 06-27-2011 04:46 PM

busygranny 06-27-2011 05:19 PM

I"d use a med to soft pink. Will be stunning.

Minnisewta 06-27-2011 06:17 PM

It's not called ripping it's called unsewing.

Carm 06-27-2011 06:53 PM

I love your blocks! I would agree with most and suggest a solid, medium pink color. But just to be sure to get the look you like try auditioning both pink and green. Good luck!!

My time 06-27-2011 07:16 PM

I would go with the tone on tone first. This will be ver pretty.

4EVERquilt 06-27-2011 07:33 PM

Yes, go darker either green or pink would work. Nice blocks!!

Auntie B 06-27-2011 08:28 PM

Yes, I agree with all of the above. But I don't call it ripping seams, I call it "un-sewing" lol Auntie B

rona thickpenny 06-28-2011 01:08 AM

me too .A pastel green perhaps? That would be my choice .but do what you are comfortable with.

Blinkokr 06-28-2011 02:51 AM

Maybe the brighter pink roses in the little squares, I think they will make it pop
Have a Blessed day

sewmorethings 06-29-2011 03:57 AM

I think it would look better with a plain sashing.

nab 06-30-2011 06:22 AM

I personnally think you need a brighter sashing than you have. It does not compliment your block. Other than the color of the sashing you are doing a great job. Keep us posted on your decision. Thanks for sharing.

Rachel

I agree, you need to make the sashing plain so that your blocks will pop when you look at it. Pick a color from the blocks. Just lay each one beside the block and see if it will look alright.

Janice Thompson 07-03-2011 05:12 PM

Take a color out of the print. (Solid) Darker. You only have two values and your lacking dark. You have light and medium. Now your need dark
