I can't afford to buy fabric, so I have to use what I have. I'm trying to make a doll house quilt for my Uncle who creates room boxes. I love green, so I do like this, but I would like opinions of others before I make an entire quilt.

It's very cute and small. I like how you have the little red 'flowers' centered on the center square

Looks very nice. Keep up the fantastic work!

JenniePenny 07-29-2010 12:11 AM

I love this! I'm a fan of the mini squares in mini quilts. It's just right.

KellyPA 07-29-2010 12:53 PM

I have 7 squares finished now! 13 to go! I will try to finish all the squares tonight and tomorrow I will quilt and bind it.

KellyPA 07-29-2010 01:28 PM

Ok, here are six squares sewn together...

I was originally going to do 4 across and 5 down, but now I'm thinking 3 across and 4 down with a border. Thoughts?

scrappylouisa 07-30-2010 04:40 AM

I love your mini quilt and I'm sure your Uncle will love it too! I can see a window box with a little child laying on a couch all snuggled up in the quilt waiting for Santa to arrive!

quiltaholic 07-30-2010 04:42 AM

Keep going love it.

Tcharlie 07-30-2010 04:45 AM

very pretty. post the finished quilt when done; alternating with some of the smaller colors with a solid block will make these pop!

nwm50 07-30-2010 05:16 AM

very cute and amazling tiny! You have a great talent, patience to do this tiny pretty square. Im sure Uncle would love this!

Twilliebee 07-30-2010 07:12 AM

It's just beautiful. I love your colour choices and the work is so perfect. He will be thrilled. Hope you post more. Do you do lots of miniatures? You've sure got a talent for it. How do you do it? I'd love to see a tutorial for miniature techniques hint hint LOL. Congrats on a marvellous piece of work.

KellyPA 07-30-2010 08:12 AM

Thanks everyone!

Twilliebee - no secret, except I paper piece....so maybe that is the secret. I have pieced with pieces smaller than a fingernail and it is all possible with paper piecing. I really enjoy making smaller pieces! I will probably make several more after this one is finished!
