I like the simplicity of the first one - black only. You could use the red in the backing.

I would say do a 4" black border with a strip of about 1-1/2" of the floral in the center of the black.....

I like the first one the best. It looks like the squares are floating.

Be still my heart! I adore the pattern and the way you put the colors into it! How beautiful! I think both borders look lovely... I like the thickness of the red but i love the crispness of the black! Well done and thanks for sharing your work!

I like the first one!! definately the first one... Ater top quilting it will be perfect not too busy.... the first one..:)

Reversing the width of the red and black borders in the second pic would provide a wonderful space to show case final quilting stitches. Although I don't think you can go wrong with any of choices suggested here.

I would audition a narrow red border then the black border.
