Love the pattern and the colors are spectacular.

We believe you! It's the illusion caused by dark colors at the bottom and light colors at the top - same sort of thing happens in a landscape quilt to make the distant mountains REALLY seem like they're far away, but it's all because of the way you use colors.

Very cool Patrice! Reminds me of my all time favorite gum....Fruit Stripes!

I love that !! Just trying to find the blocks would be a challenge. Did you just start by chopping blocks certain sizes and then placing them or was there a real plan? Now, am I being too personal?

Those bright colors just do the trick.

nope. that question isn't at all too personal.

sometime ago, there was a lot of buzz here at the board about a certain very popular commercial pattern. it's just three very simple blocks made from squares and rectangles. frankly, i didn't think it was worth the going price, so i decided to see what i could come up with. i just started dividing a block space into squares and rectangles. i don't know how many i could have "made" had i kept going, but i stopped at 21. the Neon Surprise doesn't use all 21. 18, if i remember correctly.

i offer it for sale. the price depends on whether the buyer wants it by email, on CD, or already printed. not that i wouldn't rather get paid, but i doubt i'd get cranky if somebody disected it themselves and made their own pattern. it's more or less mile-an-hour blocks that were thought out ahead of time instead of assembled randomly.

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together. It looks awsome.
