She is adorable and my guess is she has the bug. I always sewed while keeping my grands. They heard the machines and wanted to sew from the time they could ask. You'll be showing her quilt soon.

Now that's a neat idea! That's "building memories" as my friend and I say about things we have done over the years with our children. Frame the picture and give to her mother too.

Building Memories: We took our children to Hiddenite in N.C. to dig for emeralds ... dug in the dirt all day while our husbands napped ... had a picnic lunch. Husbands teased us saying we thought we would find an emerald. Didn't, but our children are in their late 30's now and still talk about that trip. Ha.

What a cutie! Nice that you have someone to train.

Such a sweet darling! My two are 6 and 3 and are totally mesmerized by my sewing machine. I can remember the older one sitting on my lap when she was 2 or so, watching me chain piece and encouraging me with many a "Nother one Nana!!" I think you have a design guru here!

How wonderful and she's got a Beautiful cheeky face. My granddaughter is only 6 months old I can't wait till she's old enough to sew with. After having three wonderful sons it's lovely to have a girl to squidge lol

Your granddaughter is a cutie. She'll probably want to help you design quilts every time she visits. At least, it's quiet compared to getting out the pans and lids in the kitchen. My friend's granddaughter wants to cook with grandma. Thanks for sharing.
