I tried a couple of searches on google, but couldn't find anything for you. You got an awesome deal with that... I would love to run into a deal like that someday.

What a great deal. I hope you find out more about her.

Does the machine zigzag? Just curious.

Thanks Sharone for trying and everyone else as well . Darlene, she does zig-zag as well as straight stitch. She also does FMQ but the feed dogs are jammed (or frozen) apparently because I cannot get them to move. The lever on the right front (bottom) should be able to raise or lower them. I have oiled her and I plan to write to White next for info. I do know that after a certain year, they were made in Japan. and the book says Japan but I will check further.

Great machine, I had a white many years ago, not quite like this, but it was a great machine. Have fun with her/him.

Isn't she pretty! Enjoy!

She looks brand new and purrs right along. The best part...I paid $40.00 for her. Isn't she the cutest? Now, I have talked with Billy (Lostn51) and he cannot seem to find anything on her. She is a White Model 268. Serial #7245. Can anyone help me identify her birth date, etc?

You have already probably checked, but sometimes there will be two numbers and a slash and two more, or something similar on the outside bottom back cover, or front cover, or just inside front cover. Those numbers relate to month and year published which can substantially narrow down the age question. Just a thought. :)
