Guess what I found... My mom and I decided to check out the Goodwill close by and I came across this beauty. She apparently has not been used as the plate was still in the plastic (the one that covers the bobbin). The book and all the accessories were all there in the beautiful little cabinet. She looks brand new and purrs right along. The best part...I paid $40.00 for her. Isn't she the cutest? Now, I have talked with Billy (Lostn51) and he cannot seem to find anything on her. She is a White Model 268. Serial #7245. Can anyone help me identify her birth date, etc?

A picture would be helpful. If you added one, it didn't come through.
Never mind, there they are! It looks beautiful! Good deal! |
She is pretty and looks pristine too, what a great deal :D:D:D

I wonder why I can't find anything like that. Our own thrift shops have over inflated ideas of what things should be worth. I have to go out of town most of the time to get bargains. That is, with the exception of Church and club rummage sales.

She is a beauty and if you can't find her birthday she can have mine . Congrats on your find.

In the cabinet?!?! You can't get a tank of gas for $40. Score!

That is a nice machine and so clean. It looks like it came out of a show room.

I googled "white sewing machines" and came up with the following: http://www.ismacs.net/white/white.html. For spare parts: http://www.sewingstyle.com/White-Sew...ine-Parts.html
Sorry could not find the date it was manufactured. |
Nice machine and cabinet!
