Superb and stunning. Please tell us all about it. Is it a kit, your own fabric and using a fussy cut technique? I just finished a fussy cut hexie quilt. It is much simpler than yours but great fun to do. I really appreciate what you are doing.

How did you ever choose the fabrics?
Did you buy the package with the paper pieces and templates or are you going from scratch? Love love love your fabrics and creative fussy-cuts! How long do you think it will take you to finish? I am trying to use stash in colors that remind me of a Mallard or pheasant, Audubon colors, I guess. The pattern is in the book Millefiori Quilts by Hammerstein which I bought from Paper Pieces along with the starter pack of papers which I think will last because I remove them as I go. The picture is about 2 1/2 weeks of work so I am guessing about 14 weeks for the whole shebang. Most of the people making this if you google used really bright colors but I am trying to be more restrained :) |
Wow, gorgeous

Wow! That's a lot of pieces.

My daughter is working on one of those. You two have more "intestinal fortitude" than I do!

Stunning so far...keep us posted, please. Wonderful work!

Beautiful - love EPP but I only have hexagons. I want to do blocks like yours but I just don't seem to have enough money after the bills to place an order with Paper Pieces. But one of these months I will gather enough to get the diamonds, elongated hexie and other paper pieces.
