Wow love the stained glass work! It's so gorgeous! I can see that the two (quilting and glass) enhance each other! Thanks for sharing!

They are very different processes, but what's the same, is you really want things to line up! I enjoy both of them. Difficulty is what makes things challenging and helps you grow. I catn't do either one for too long at a time, hard on the old neck! My back hurts at the sewing machine and the neck doing glass, just life when you get older, right?

You did it! You posted your first set of photos and they are delightful. I love the glass quilts, they are spectacular.

betsykins, Your stained glass is wonderful. Do you use the copper foil method? I have done a bit of glass work but not for a long time. I would like to get back into it once we build our new husband's shop/my room out building. I still have my grinder and a few of the other tools. Don't you just love the way the sun shines through the glass? Oh and your quilts are wonderful too, really!!!

yes, I do use the copper foil method. I did a window once, using the lead channels, then cementing. I did not like the process, and I couldn't do tiny details that way. The copper foil method (which Mr. Tifffany developed for his wonderful lamps, etc.) enables artists to use smaller pieces in their work. Maybe you should get back into it, sounds like you enjoy it. :-)

I love the stories of quilts, and the work that goes into them. It's so much fun to see what everybody is making. Quilts just make life better!

I never was much for stained glass windows, but now you put it with Quilt Patterns with it I am beginning to like it.LOL
