I don't even know if I will be able to post a picture, I'll try. I mainly enjoy doing wallhangings, and real glass quilts as well. If I'm doing this wrong, or posting pics to the wrong place, somebody please tell me.

I love the stories of quilts, and the work that goes into them. It's so much fun to see what everybody is making. Quilts just make life better!

Fantastic projects! Wonderful quilted wall hangings and your stained glass work is sooooo good!!! How long have you been doing your stained glass artwork? Is it hard to do?

sewbeadit 06-30-2013 06:43 PM

Your pictures came out great and your quilts are lovely and I love your glass work! You are doing just fine! Do you sell your glass works?

Tweety2911 06-30-2013 06:46 PM

Thanks for the mini show of you beautiful projects! Your work is terrific!

betsykins 06-30-2013 06:46 PM

Hi Mavis, I've been doing my stained glass for close to 20 years. When you're first learning, it seems hard, lots of broken glass that's for sure. But you hang in there, and keep challenging yourself. It's just like quilting, yes? You start with simple lines, then you graduate to harder cuts, such as curves, etc. If you have the desire, you can do it. I took one lesson from a woman who taught me how to do a suncatcher, from there, you just do what pleases YOU, again, like quilting. :-)

Thanks Helen. I was glad to see I could upload the pics, when I first got on the site, there was so much information I thought I would make a mistake. I'm still intimidated by computer stuff! :-)

Hi, welcome to the world of sharing here on the board. It is great to see what other quilters are up to and the ideas are amazing. So glad to see you have shared your beautiful pieces with us. You did great in the postings. Your stained glass was an added bonus. That's something I always wanted to do but just never got around too. Probably a good thing though in a way. It may have dipped into my quilting money and that is definitely a no no lol. Keep those posts coming

krista 06-30-2013 07:40 PM

BEAUTIFUL! Love the stained glass!

betsykins 06-30-2013 07:49 PM

Yes, I do sell. However, just like with quilts, you end up giving lots away to family and friends! I have to sell some of my suncatchers and windows just to buy more supplies. You know...

Welcome to the family. You fit in just perfect. Some of us are really good at the computer and are really helpful in "finding stuff" for us and some of us have only basic computer skills. Goes the same for saying that it applies to our quilting skills as well. Your work is awesome! Thanks for sharing!!

Love your stained glass quilt patterns. I used to do a lot of stained glass also, but the lead finally got to me - didn't have proper ventilation. Love, love the combination of the glass and quilts.........BEAUTIFUL!

Beautiful combinations of colors in your quilts and your stained glass. Thanks for posting both. I'm always envious of people who can "see" color in such a unique way.

Hello and welcome. Your work is lovely - so is the view from your windows.

Debbie B 07-01-2013 01:15 PM

Love all the pictures! Especially like the quilting in the border in the first picture. And your stain glass is beautiful. My MIL used to do stain glass, but not in quilt blocks. She would look for old window frames & made some beautiful pieces. Once there was a fender bender at the corner of the street where she lived & there she was with a broom & dust pan scooping up as much glass as she could. The family had a good laugh with that! Keep posting pictures!
