Sorry, I love sharing these! This is another custom ordered bag, I used a pair of white NYDJ jeans and Pink ribbon fabric. I love how the colors in the fabric pop against the white! I hope they post right side up this time!!

Yes, women's NYDJ size 8. The opening is actually almost 15" wide

I uses a regular size 11 or 12 for everything except when I attach the lining to the bag, then I switch to a denim needle size 16, especially if the denim is a strong heavy one. I use fusible fleece on my lining so it's a bit thicker yet, but just go slow.

MamaBear61 02-14-2013 03:25 PM

That one is really neat. I think this one is my favourite so far.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments! These seem to sell well and so I am doing a local craft fair in April, before Mothers Day, and since these jeans bags are ageless, timeless, and unique, I hope to sell a bunch for gifts. I still have a good inventory of other styles of bags/purses/totes, so I can concentrate on making a good stock of these jeans bags. I REALLY LOVE making them!! I'll keep posting as I do. However, I want to squeeze a bit of quilting in between!!

Grandma Peg 02-14-2013 08:35 PM

Your purses are so nice, each one unique.

Adorable bags! Do you leave the zipper intact when making a bag? They are so cute.

rainsprite 02-15-2013 05:27 AM

Yes, but when sewing the lining to the top, open it up to make the sewing easier, then close and button up when done. If you unzip the zipper, all you see is the fusible side of the lining.

kymawmaw 02-16-2013 04:52 AM

I want it :) where can I buy the fabric? can i buy it? the bag I mean..how much..I really want it

twinkie 02-16-2013 05:09 AM

I have developed the construction of them as I started making them in the beginning. There isn't really any pattern, each pair is different, so I use the same construction methods for each pair. I saw one similar on the Internet and didn't like how it was done (pretty cheaply), so I changed it until I got what I wanted.

imnywoman 02-16-2013 08:41 AM

Love it, love it!! Keep up the good work!
