Just finished a lap quilt using the herringbone, or French Braid, pattern. My third - the 2 daughters and I all have them and I can use all those pesky scraps for something else!

Now I just have to wait for it to cool off enough to use it.

Oh, I like that! I particularly like the lighter sashing and border. Very pretty.

Grama - I was just getting ready to post the link I sent you, and saw you beat me to it -- only difference is that I cut all my strips 1-1/2" x 7" -- she said she used varying widths - and I cut the sashing 1-1/2" wide.
Thanks to all who said they liked the like light colored sashing - the first one I made I used an almost mustard tiny flower print and it was way too bright.

I keep looking at my box of scraps and think to myself I should do SOMETHING with them.

One for daughter was about 72" square because she wanted a "cuddle quilt" (her words, not mine) to cuddle up under on the couch at night with the new hubby. But I think that normally lots of people use a 60 x 72" size. That's about what this one shown is.

I like this pattern, very colorful..

I made a sweatshirt jacket with that pattern. I love it you can wear it with everything. Your quilt is beautiful.
