Gorgeous!! Now go to www.featherweight221.com - Dave will tell you how to clean, oil and take care of that beauty. I got one off Ebay and was so happy I spent the $80 for the DVD and book - it would have cost me that much for one servicing!! Mine was in a little rough shape but with Dave's help, she looks almost as good as yours!! She sews like a champ and beautiful stitches. Enjoy!!

I actually had it cleaned and oiled, the finger thing in the bobbin adjusted, the wiring checked and I got a new felt pad for the spool pin for $35 including him picking it up and bringing it back. Our local independent service man is a jewel.

It's beautiful!! Looks brand new.

Wow she is a beauty. You should have your mother in law send you a note with the history of the machine especially if she was the original owner. It certainly is a treasure.

I made a similar find a few years ago at an antique store in Vermont. It about the same age as yours and the story given to the store was that it had been a wedding present back in the early 50s but the bride had NEVER used it. It took me over a year to use it for the first time (don't ask me why... i have no idea), but once I did, I never stopped. I LOVE THIS MACHINE. It is the sweetest to sew on. Smooth smooth smooth. Enjoy it!
