The very 1st layout you posted caught my eye immediately. I can see several different layout possibilities, but I think you got it right the first time! I love the ideas being posted about taking pictures of each layout. Much easier to make a true judgement before you make the final commitment! Beautiful job! I've promised my daughter that she is next in line for a quilt and she has chosen colors much like yours. She also wants a black background which I wasn't anxious to use but after seeing your quilt, I've decided black isn't so bad when it's used the right way!

Very nice. Love the colors & design.

After comparing the two designs I think I like the first one better. This is going to be an amazing quilt. Thanks for sharing.

CK-
WOW!!! What stunning blocks-love love them. I would be stumped though as I think both layouts are beautiful. I would love to see pictures of other layouts you try-and you will know when it is right for you :-) although I would be hard pressed as I am sure the possibilities are almost endless!!
Fabulous work-just splendid!

Thanks so much for the tutorial! That's why I love this QB because everyone is so community-minded. It's not just about sewing but sharing and supporting. Can't wait to get started.

Did you applique the points onto the background fabric? I read about this in one of my magazines. Either way, it came out beautiful and I can't wait to see it quilted. You have an heirloom in the making, that's for sure.
