so, i've been playing around with these blocks...they are 6 1/2" blocks and there are 96 of them...12 of each 8 different colors. what do you think about this layout?
i think i'm going to be playing with these for a while. any suggestions? :-D |
I really like this lay out. What a stunning quilt this is.
This is beautiful. I like the layout too. Is this PP?

I have no words!!!!
That is just beautiful. I love the layout and wouldn't change a thing.
WOW! what a colorful fun quilt.
Stunning!
I love this layout! Given the time you must have spent doing 96 blocks (beautifully), I can understand why you'd want to play for a long time with the placement! You've got a winner here, but have fun before you commit!
Wow, that looks so awesome!
Wow, that is great!
Wow, I like the layout you have here but I can see that your options are endless.
AMAZING QUILT!! You are very talented!

so, i spent a little time laying it out again...
and...no it's not pp'd...these are so easy...over the weekend i will take some pics of making the blocks and show you how... anyway,,,.here's another layout...and when i layed this one out i thought of a couple different ones to try... |
Very pretty!
Very pretty!
I like the layout as well.
Love it, sew up that baby. I wouldn't change a thing
I am in awe of your talent. How in the world did you figure out where to place all these circles. Amazing design and placements.
Great going! |
since i am at work for a 16 hour shift i will probably change it around a couple more times...snapping pics so if i find one i really like better than the others i'll have a pic to re-do it again when i'm home and can start sewing....the jury is still out...so many possibilities when you have 96 blocks to rearrange...so far hmmmmmmm i don't know, i don't think either or these lay outs are THE ONE,,,but ya never know till it's together :)
I like the first layout! Magnificent.. not pp? amazing
Gee, that's a tough call. I like them both. In the first one I would want to move the blues on the right away from the blue center. It may be stealing value from the blue on the right just a bit.
The second layout is excellent and much busier to me than the first. As a third idea I wondered if you want to run them diagonally and take a photo. You did such a good job and sooooo many pieces to work with. They are beautiful. Regards, Dorothy |
All I can say is WOW !!!!
awesome, I like the layout on your top, have fun!
I can't wait for the tutorial!!! :D
Hope you are taking pictures of each layout!
Duuhhh! Of course you are! What are we looking at! |
I like them both. Why not make two?
Very nice!! Have fun playing around!!
How about a diagonal color wash going from darkest to lightest, or the other way around?
Really beautiful!
You've got a WINNER there on the placement, fabrics, colors, design and well just all of it!!!! Keep us posted when you get it done!
Beautiful blocks. If you used the first layout but started the middle with the lightest color and go out with the medium and then ending with the dark.
I thought of diagonal from light to dark. But either one is fabulous. Can't wait to see the finished product.
They are both beauties......I would have a hard time deciding.
I love the layout, love the quilt, love the colors, love the pattern. Which by the way is named??? and where can I get one? and is it paper-pieced?
I only saw the first one but then went back and looked at the second. Both are gorgeous so it's my humble opinion that you should make another set of blocks and do BOTH layouts. The first is wonderful but then so is the second. The second seems to wonderfully blend a little wild with a little serenity. |
