That is really nifty........Have to look for one of those.....Thanks for sharing.

AZ Jane 09-26-2012 07:35 AM

Could it be used in a quilt? Is there a way to sew down those edges other than just raw stitched?

northern lass 09-26-2012 07:44 AM

What a fantastic gadget. Loely tablerunner

Have had one of those for several years.

catladyquilts 09-26-2012 12:39 PM

Isn't that the most fun you've ever had with a ruler!!!! I love mine

mimiknoxtaylor 09-26-2012 03:51 PM

You know I saw that in a quilt shop in MO a while back & almost got it but opted for something else. May have to check it out again. Thanks for sharing.

baglady65 09-26-2012 05:53 PM

I have that ruler and it makes neat book marks for trying it out too!

caspharm 09-26-2012 06:11 PM

I saw that ruler demo'ed at a local quilt show and bought one. Still haven't made anything with it, but want to. Thought about pillowcases.

debcavan 09-26-2012 06:25 PM

That is so sharp looking. Love your colors

Wine Woman 09-26-2012 06:44 PM

It's such a fun ruler. I've made a lot of book markers with a ribbon at the top and the gifts were very much appreciated. There's really alot you can do with the ruler if you let your imagne go! It's beautiful!

QM 09-26-2012 06:49 PM

I am not in the market for it, but 2 of my guild sisters have these rulers with wonderful results.

LoisM 09-26-2012 07:42 PM

That's so cool!!

pojo 09-27-2012 03:11 AM

sewnsewer2 09-27-2012 04:39 AM

I have that ruler too, it was a gift from a friend. I haven't tried it yet.

nygal 09-27-2012 05:00 AM

This morning I showed the "how to use video" to my 9yr. old granddaughter and she liked it too. I told her I,'d make a few pillow cases for her.

pattipat 09-27-2012 05:07 AM

That is a cool ruler. Bought it 2 years ago. Still in the package.

brendadawg 09-27-2012 05:11 AM

I bought this ruler at a quilt show a few years ago and it's still in the package. I am forever seeing all these neat projects and the tools to make them. I buy the tools and then there they sit on the shelf. Shame on me. I just need to get busy using some of them. Thanks for the push!

amandasgramma 09-27-2012 05:38 AM

My GF and I found this ruler last year at a quilt show. Makes GREAT bookmarks!!!! I haven't made a quilt with it yet.

bibi 09-27-2012 06:25 AM

This looks really neat.

butterflies5518 09-27-2012 06:44 AM

Cool nice job on table runner...I've had this ruler forever and just haven't tried to use it...hummm working on a baby quilt right now and am stuck on the borders...might just have to get mine out .......

They show a 3D version, if you use for a baby quilt, I would sew the fabric down so little fingers cant get caught.

diamondee 09-27-2012 08:18 AM

Doesn't that almost remind you of the chinese lanterns we use to make in school? hmmm That's an idea. Might have to try that, twist fabric strip and sew center line down. That would give it a 3D look. Got to try it now. :D

gramquilter2 09-27-2012 08:57 AM

Neat ruler, the U-tube video shows how easy it is to use.

JanieH 09-27-2012 09:24 AM

Hmmm, think I just found another present my kittens can get for my Christmas stocking!

snownannie 09-27-2012 09:44 AM

That is very pretty. Love the way it turned out.

beatys9 09-27-2012 10:08 AM

Just what I was thinking, stunning border too. I love new tools and this seems like one I may have to find... Your table runner is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing :)

That looks neat Sandra ! Where did you get it Arlington? I am from Abilene and had a sister named Sandra.

Shirlrh 09-27-2012 04:01 PM

Gorgeous! Great job!

maxnme01 09-27-2012 04:24 PM

Hmmmmm love the idea but darned these things are expensive. I added to my Amazon wish list. I think I may try the process and "mark" the cutting lines with a marker to see if I can get it to look similar. If I succeed I will post my measurements. Just don't hold your breath as I've got some heavy work in the pipeline to do in the next month. LOL so what's new?

sharin'Sharon 09-27-2012 07:40 PM

Having the 'frayed' edges would deter me from a purchase.

nstitches4u 09-27-2012 07:43 PM

Beautiful table runner! I recently purchased this ruler, but I haven't used it yet. I'm ready to give it a try. Thanks for sharing.

That is amazing!!! Love it!! Is it hard to do?

justflyingin 09-27-2012 10:29 PM

I love how you worded it, "And look what it does"...

Think if I bought one it would do what you did? :)

Great job. Actually, your thread is enough to make me want to go look at the you tube video and see how it does that!
