New ruler and look what it does!!

I found this in Arlington, TX and couldn't wait to use it. It comes with 2 rulers and I used the large one on this tablerunner. I will use the smaller one on purses and add to quilts.

This looks really neat!

jcrilley 09-25-2012 04:40 AM

It would make a stunning border on a quilt too!

nygal 09-25-2012 04:51 AM

It sure makes a beautiful pattern. I never heard of that ruler before. I found a video showing how it works. I may have to order one!!

mary quilting 09-25-2012 05:53 AM

joyce888 09-25-2012 06:04 AM

Very neat ruler and thanks nygal for the video link.

nygal 09-25-2012 06:07 AM

Your welcome. I think it would be so pretty on pillow cases as the lady in video stated. Also would be neat on a quilt block. I just like the whole idea of it. Easy yet looks very "advanced". :)

joyce888 09-25-2012 06:07 AM

Very neat ruler and thanks nygal for the video link. Amazon price is $16.50 is that what you paid at the Quilt Show?

QuiltnNan 09-25-2012 06:08 AM

Wow, very neat, thanks for sharing! Did you stitch the double diamonds down in your table runner, if so, was it easy?

Diane007 09-25-2012 12:29 PM

yes it is so easy to use... nice

DianneK 09-25-2012 02:34 PM

Just got it when traveling in Michigan. I'm waiting for the pattern for the cross to get here.

Froggiey 09-25-2012 02:34 PM

Very pretty. Looks elegant and looks like fun. Can't wait to see it on a purse.

rusty quilter 09-25-2012 02:36 PM

Don't know about the ruler--but your border is sweet!

red-warrior 09-25-2012 03:53 PM

Looks like it worked great!

marcieandbernard 09-26-2012 03:16 AM

I made a table runner with this ruler and placed first in a state competition. It is amazing.

PS Stitcher 09-26-2012 04:14 AM

One of our guild members demoed this for us a couple months back. It is really neat!

piepatch 09-26-2012 04:31 AM

I love it! It looks like seminole patchwork to me, but probably easier.

abc123 09-26-2012 04:49 AM

As info, the following website offers a wealth of information on using this ruler and along with how to make prairie points in two colors:

In addition, there are a few free patterns using the ruler.

grammy of 6 09-26-2012 05:53 AM

The "triangles" have a raw edge, right? Does that bother anyone?

Shana 09-26-2012 06:04 AM

Ohhh...I may have to have one of these lol

Steady Stiching 09-26-2012 06:25 AM

I bought it and made one project...its fairly llimited for the expense IMHO.
If you want to make a southwest project it gives that flair.

Geri B 09-26-2012 06:31 AM

interesting, but I think it has limited usefulness......with all those loose edges.........hmmmmm

pinebeltquilter 09-26-2012 06:44 AM

Beautiful! I know you are going to enjoy it!

ItsJustMe 09-26-2012 06:48 AM

Very Cool! Love the look! think I'll order one. Thanks for the link!

lynnie 09-26-2012 07:16 AM
