new sewing machine
3 Attachment(s)
I just wanted to show everyone my new machine and the stitching it does. I did this on dark fabrics so it is more visible.
Her first stitches Her first 4P I was gifted this beauty today from another quilter, coworker who knows I love anything vintage. Oh, what fun I am going to have with this little chain stitch piecer from 1953 and never used. I have a glass display box where she will live when I am not playing with her. Meet Mary Louise peace and love to everyone. |

You are so lucky to have a friend willing to part with that beautiful machine.
What an amazing gift! You are so lucky to have such a thoughtful friend!
What a wonderful, wonderful treasure! Such a generous gift. Wow. Do enjoy your new machine.
Oh, what fun! That's the kind of new machine that I love. Enjoy your new treasure. The toy machines are like potato chips, one is never enough.
I am so happy for you but I need to warn you those are addictive! I got one several years ago and now have 8. I especially love the ones that still have boxes and instruction books. My collection started with old graphics on sewing items. I love old needle packages and that started this whole thing. My family thinks I am nuts but what did they expect? I still have my Brownie pin and skate key!
That is an awesome machine!!! I would display it too.
What nice stitching! |
What a thoughtful friend and outstanding gift...she surely knows you well. Congratulations.
Mary Louise is special.
Oh my...I have a Singer chain stitch machine just like that. It was a gift from my mom and dad when my sister and I were young. Mine came in a sturdy little suitcase.

Can you share a picture or two, please? |
What a treasure, you are a very lucky person to have a friend that would give you that. Use it often!
WOW, what a gift-!
That is adorable! Is it clamped to the counter? Congratulations!!!
What an adorable machine!
It's beautiful!! I have a hand crank sewing machine that I received for Christmas when I was in 3rd grade. It doesn't sew any more but I wouldn't part with it.
Oh, I want one.

I still have the one I received one year for Christmas in the 50's as well. Mine also came with a case. The inside of the case is such that there is a place to clamp the machine in place so you have a small level surface for sewing. Mine goes under my tree every Christmas.

OMG!!! She's so tiny! What a great gift!
