New Sewing Table Pics! Finally...
 

I finally learned how to re-size pictures so I can share with you guys! I had to call in my IT guy into my office at work so he could show me how. Anyways, I posted a couple of weeks ago about the sewing table that I had made. These pics are in the top of my barn that we recently built. I used left over 5" boards to make this sewing table. The first pic is after I glued the 5" boards together. The 2nd pic is after the glue dried, and I sanded on it for days and days... and then polyurthaned (spelling) it. I then built the shelf for my machine to sit down in and then moved it upstairs and put my machine in it! I just finished my first quilt, I will take some pics of it tonight and post them tomorrow now that I know how. Oh and the last pic is of my dog Cooter, I get kinda scared in the barn all by myself sometimes, I'm the biggest sissy ever was, and so I bring him up there with me. He just lays on that rug the whole time like he is guarding me, he is my big baby! He's bigger than I am tho! There is also a pic of my fabric stash, I just started quilting not that long ago so it's not all that big but I am working on it like a vengeance! I am so so so addicted to fabric, so it won't be long! Thanks guys for looking :) I resized all these pics so hopefully they turn out now....

Love your table how did you get the hole the right size four your quiltingplatform

Getting the right size for my acrylic table was easy, I just measured it and cut it out. I cut it a little shy of my measuring just to be on the safe side and then I sanded it down to where I needed it. It is just two squares cut out and connected. I did build it too low for my machine, but I just sat my machine on a 1/2" board, drew around it and then cut it out and put it underneath my machine. I then mitered around the edges so my acrylic table would sit down in perfect. Really, it was pretty easy and a heck of alot cheaper than if I wanted to buy one like that. And I already had all the wood left over from the barn so I didn't have to buy anything at all.

I'm jealous of that sewing space and your fabulous sewing table. Looks like there's plenty of room for your growing stash.

Tartan - the bathroom is right beside me, you can see the wall boxed in there. I might take some more pics and post them tomorrow when I post pics of my first quilt. And the kitchen is right behind me. It's not a full kitchen, I just built a horseshoe bar, put a counter top stove in the bar, and I have a little fridge under the bar counter. I say little fridge but that little sucker will hold 5 cases of beer! Lol...

WOW, some men couldn't top you on that sewing table. You are a natural. You have a great space and a great protector. Do you just use this for sewing? You are a lucky Lady to have so many talents.
