I had a bunch of squares laying around with different prints on them and decided to do a fun quilt with them. I had more of some and I just decided to put them together in the order they were in and see what came out. Well this is what came out of that venture and I know that several colors are bunched together but I wasn't trying to make a masterpiece, just trying to use up the squares.

I bet if you look at it you can see all the other projects you have made. I think the scrappier the better and you can go nuts trying to lay them all out perfect.. perfect is just this, reach in the pile add one on and you get a very pretty quilt top like you must whipped up. I find my scraps are all over the place color wise.. yours seem to follow a general theme .. softer colors. The red really pops and is a nice little zip.

I have quite a few more squares that I could use up and make another quilt but of course these squares that are left are smaller than the ones I used to make this quilt top. It would take a lot longer to sew them all together. I think there is 200 of those little ones left in my stash i think.

Looks good to me, I have a lot of squares I cut out several years ago that I need to use up. I always decide to make a different one and usually give most of mine away. Maybe I will try to get those made up this year.

Thanks everybody. Never did get around to making that 2nd quilt top today. My phone rang off the hook, not a bad thing cause it was family, and then I fell asleep in my chair for a couple of hours while I was flipping through the potholder book I bought a few days ago.

So I will start it tomorrow......... :)

Good for you. taht's what i've been doing. sewing squares/charms together. trying like mad to use up all the stuff in my sewing room. making more tops though. one day i'll have to complete them into quilts!

Yeah I figured I would just use them all up, make all the tops and then worry about quilting them later. :)

I'm glad you're quilting it yourself. You can experiement with different quilting designs. Love the colors and that you made something while "shopping" for fabric in your own stash! Be sure to show us a picture after quilting!

I like it. Pretty fabrics. And they go together to make a beautiful quilt.
