I'm so sorry for your loss. I bought a second hand dresser - a long one that's not tall and had the guys at the lumber store cut a piece of plywood bigger than the top of it. I wrapped it in batting and then covered it in some cotton material I wasn't crazy about and stapled it to the back. I then had a friend add something like dowels (sp) to each side underneath and each end to fit snug so the board wouldn't move when I pressed. Now I have 9 drawers below my ironing board to keep my fabric or whatever I want. I really needed that space!

Love you room!! Sorry for the loss of your hubby! Can't imagine! LOVE that quilt on the wall, too!!! You need to show us that "up close."

You have been on quite a journey and our hearts go out to you for your loss and all the changes that have occurred in your life. Your new sewing room is remarkable, looks like you have everything ready to be creative and cozy. It must feel really good to have everything unpacked and organized.

First let me say I am sorry for your loss. You have had some difficult times, but now you have a new home, a fantastic sewing room and can begin your new life. What wonderful creations you can make in this room - I wish you all the best in the future.
