Christmas colors have changed!!! My sis decorated her tree in red, black, and white.
I think it looks gorgeous, the plant really sets it off.

It is lovely. My thought, and only my own, is that if you like it, do it! This year my husband bought me a small pink Christmas tree with bright pink ornaments. It works for us! Enjoy your holiday!

Quilting is an art, and often art is an abstraction. While the runner doesn't scream XMAS in the traditional sense, I can still feel it's influences, particularly in the fabric used that contains the red flowers that mimic Poinsettias, which I like in this particular piece because they sort of look like they are from a kalidoscope. It's brilliance comes from the runner's versatility - by which not only does it serve as a lovely centerpiece for XMAS, but also all year round. While I realize everyone doesn't share in similar appreciation when it comes to art and creativity, the bottomline is that it is your work and you should be able to feel comfortable both keeping and displaying it - even if it only serves your fancy. Be confident and be a little selfish... if it makes you happy you shouldn't be rid of it. I personally love it, and if I'd been by your house for a garage sale, I'd have snapped it up!

When it comes to Husbands' and Childrens' tastes regarding the arts and their own creative expression... remember, when the husband's performing a live interactive statue for all to enjoy by looking like Al Bundy on the couch with a remote in hand, and his hand down his pants and when the newest poster of the Jonas Brothers or Hannah Montana is gracing a child's wall for years in worship as their own proudly owned work of art, we don't get rid of their things they like (i.e. TV, Remote, Posters, Etc), or them ;)

Happy Holidays!

Explosive blessings, abundance and inspiration to you all!
