You did a good job on both of them. Those lessons really paid off and I look forward to seeing more of your work. I have the pattern for the red, black, and white one, but hadn't thought about doing it in those colors. I hope you don't mind if I use your color scheme. Thanks for sharing your work

You are more than welcome to use my colour scheme. When I saw the pattern it was the colours I liked right away.

Lovely! Would you please share the name of both patterns?

The red - black & white one is from www.craftsy.com website it is called Windmills at Night
My second one was from a tutorial at Missouri Star Quilt Company. The name of the tutorial is Double Slice Layer Cake.

Hope that helps. Thanks for asking.

WOW!!! You have done a great job. I wouldn't show my first one although my Son' dog loves it.

Thank-you for your nice comments.

Hi,
How large are the squares and did you work from a pattern? I'm one of the point-less people who really dislike having to match up points, this looks like something I could do.
Thanks,
Johnna

Yes I used a pattern and it called for 12.5 inch blocks, but I cannot tell you if mine finished up that exact size I probably had to square ex them up and make them all the same.

Thanks

For a beginner I think you did "smashing". Have always wanted to make up your 2nd quilt pattern. Love you colors too. Great job......
