Newbie's First and Second Quilt Attempt

I have attached the first and second quilts that I have done since taking beginner quilting lessons last year. The red, black and white quilt was the first one that I did, the other one was my second quilt. Thanks for looking.

Both of those quilts look great. I have made complicated patterns, but the quilt on my bed is made up of 3" blocks from my favorite fat quarters alternating with white blocks. I had collected the fat quarters on some of my travels.
